Week 12 ~ Catch the Moment

Spring is finally here! Too bad it's disappearing for our mini vacation this weekend. We've had temps in the 70's all week and the high for Saturday is predicted to be 48 degrees, yay. <--- That was sarcastic if you couldn't tell.

I'm a little behind on editing this week and since we are taking off for the weekend, I'll have to play catch up next week! The inspiration for the week was spring. I think I can label just about all of these as being spring!

March 19:  Baseball season is finally here! We picked up some teeny tiny cleats for Bailey. She would wear them to bed if I'd let her!

March 20:  Spring means tons of outside time. Look at him go on his 2 wheel bike!

March 21:  Bailey loves to come cheer big brother on at baseball, even if it's only a practice.

March 22:  Lesson plans, lesson plans, lesson plans.

Week 11 ~ Catch the Moment

This week marked the beginning of baseball season! Tyler's practices began this week and games will start in a few weeks. Bailey will begin her practices and games when Tyler's games start. She is a little bummed that she can't start just yet, but is looking forward to it. Tyler also learned how to ride a 2-wheel bike this week and little dude learned how to wave. I'm not sure if I should be cheering or crying over these things!

March 12: Bath time is always a favorite with this one.

March 13:  Chubby little baby toes. It doesn't get any cuter than this!

March 14:  I took the munchkins on a walk this afternoon. Hunter loves to check out the neighborhood. He was looking like quite the stud in his outfit too!

March 15:  Monkey see, monkey do!

March 16:  Tyler's first practice was a long one! I didn't realize that when they bump up to the 7/8 league they begin 2 hour practices. We finished up under the lights. It made for a long night, but it sure was pretty!

March 17:  I actually got a decent picture of my husband!

March 18:  Hunter is obsessed with doors and windows. He is definitely going to be an outside boy!

10 Months ~ Hunter

It's crazy to think that in just a few weeks you'll be a year old already! I can't believe how fast time has flown by. My sweet little snuggly baby is disappearing and you are rapidly turning into a spunky little toddler. It's bittersweet. I'm excited to continue watching your personality develop and change, but I sure am missing the little baby grins and giggles!

Sleep:  We're taking this one night by night. Some nights you do great and will sleep for 10 hours and only get up once or twice, other nights you are up every hour or two. I'm pretty sure your teeth are to blame most of the time. That and you just like to snuggle with mom and dad.

Likes:  You have a renewed love for peek-a-boo especially now that you can be an equal participant. You have become very attached to the blanket that Aunt Lou Jean got you for Christmas and won't sleep unless it's up against your face.

Favorite Toys:  You love anything that involves balls right now! You'll toss and chase them for hours on end!

Dislikes:  You absolutely hate when your big brother and sister leave you in the dust. When they go upstairs and leave you at the gate, you squeal and complain until one of them comes back down to play. You insist on putting everything in your mouth that you find on the floor and protest when we try to remove whatever treasure you've found. Sitting still and snuggling are no longer on your priortiy list, and you get pretty mad at me for even trying. Diaper changes, getting dressed, and being told no also top the list.

Eating:  You love applesauce, blueberries, crackers, and Gerber puffs! You pretty much spend your entire day eating and will nurse for a few minutes on and off through the day.

Milestones:  This month you've started standing unsupported for a few seconds at a time. You're trying to stand up in the middle of the room on your own and have a few times but only for a brief moment. You have also mastered putting the balls into several of your toys to make them light up, spin, and move.

Tooth Count:  Holding strong at 2.

Word/Sounds:  You babble nonstop, but the only recognizable words are still mum and dada.

Firsts:  You got to enjoy your first snowfall this month! Big brother and big sister took you sledding down the street. Ok, more like they pulled you in a sled down the sidewalk, but it counts right?

Love you to the moon and back sweet boy!

Week 10 ~ Catch the Moment

We've had such a rainy, yucky week! I'm looking forward to when the warmer, drier weather finally arrives. We did manage to make it outside a few times this week to play. Hunter is especially enjoying being outside this year which is a good thing since I got the call today that baseball practice starts Saturday!

March 5:  This is the face of a 7 year old boy who is was so excited to play outside that he didn't even take the time to take off his backpack!

March 6:  We made this purchase this week! A new (to us) fifth wheel for the entire family to enjoy. This is a giant step up from our itty bitty popup that we are used to camping in!

March 7:  Giant grins from Mr. Happy.

March 8:  Today was Brandon's birthday. Bailey helped me make a cake to celebrate. She loves to help with everything!

March 9:  The inspiration this week was sleepy. I tried to get a true sleepy picture of Tyler before bed, but he couldn't stop smiling.

March 10:  Sprig is here and that means baseball season! We'll have 2 playing this season and Bailey couldn't be more excited. Excuse the cool-aid mustache, it's become a regular thing around here since she started drinking out of a big girl cup.

March 11:  So this picture totally stinks, but I couldn't resist the duck face.

Week 9 ~ Catch the Moment

We went from unseasonably low temps with snowfall to unseasonably high temps practically overnight this week! I thought Michigan weather was crazy, but it's nothing compared to the twists that Mother Nature throws at North Carolina!

It's been a crazy few weeks for us and I'm hoping things are starting to get back to normal. After being out of school for almost 2 full weeks, I am ready to get back into our regular routine. Baseball for the big guy and t-ball for the little girl will be starting soon and spring break is just around the corner. This year is already flying by!

February 26:  Another fun day of playing in the snow. The snow this round was great for packing and snowman building!

February 27:  I managed 2 get 2 pictures of Tyler in this week! Sometimes I really impress myself. ;0)

February 28:  This little one is obsessed with our slider. I have a feeling he's going to love being outside this summer! He loves to watch the dog play and the birds fly in and out of our yard.

March 1:  Messy babies are always adorable! I'm pretty sure he didn't actually manage to eat any of it.

March 2:  This is our key rack.  It represents the craziness of our lives. Keys, leashes, and coats all jumbled together.

March 3:  Not much was happening today and I've been lacking inspiration the last few days. Here's my little lefty eating her before bed snack.

March 4:  After starting our week with snow, we finished with a 70 degree and sunny day! This one is a little blurry but I love that she's using them backwards!
