Week 26 ~ Catch the Moment

Busy, busy, busy describes our life perfectly as of late. We are getting ready for a fun filled 4th of July weekend!

June 25:  In an attempt to get Hunter into his own room, we got the big kids a set of bunk beds. I have a feeling there will be a lot of memories built into these beds! They've already built forts and like to use them to hide in.

June 26:  This is pretty typical. Hunter steals remote, TV channel is changed, Hunter gives an evil grin...

June 27:  Again with the dishes! Bailey was playing with her tutu and Daddy decided Hunter needed to try it on. I'm totally using this against him when he starts dating!

June 28:  It's a sneak attack!

June 29:  His shirt says it all!

June 30:  After a sticky breakfast of waffles and syrup, I didn't want to give Hunter a full bath so he took a quick dip in the sink.

July 1:  Daddy was washing the camper up and Hunter figured he'd help.

Have a great 4th of July!!!

Week 25 ~ Catch the Moment

I love summer! It's so much fun to get a taste of what it would be like to be a stay at home mommy. I love getting to spend the extra time with my littles! Our days have been filled with swimming, playing, and lots of snuggles! I need to get better about bringing my camera with me when we leave the house as well. It appears as if we don't ever go anywhere, but I swear we were out of the house everyday this week!

June 18:  This little guy is always smiling! He also eats like his sister, anything and everything in sight!

June 19:  Little miss loves to play with her baby dolls. She is constantly dressing them up, feeding them, and taking them for strolls around the house and neighborhood.

June 20:  I love that our street is so quiet. All the neighborhood kids come over at night to ride their bikes and scooters around.

June 21:  Hunter has discovered the Tupperware cupboard. He takes everything out, I put it back in, and he takes everything back out again. It's a fun little game...

June 22:  He can reach the table now, nothing is safe!

June 23:  Cheese puffs, a new obsession!

June 24:  I walked out of the room for one minute only to return to find this...

Week 24 ~ Catch the Moment

I think I'm all caught up (again)! This week we celebrated Tyler's 8th birthday, finished out our first school year at our new school, celebrated with a weekend of camping, and then I managed to pawn the older two kids off on Grandma for a couple of days! It's going to be a great summer!

June 4:  Our garden is really starting to grow! If you look close, you can see the start of what I believe is a squash.

June 5:  Nothing to crazy going on around here today so I snapped a picture of the view from our back yard.

June 6:  Today was Tyler's 8th birthday! I say this way too often, but time really does fly after having kids! I can't believe my 'baby' is 8! He wanted a Turtles cake to celebrate so that's what he got, sort of?

June 7:  We've been really dry in the Charlotte, NC area for a few weeks now, so tonight's storms were a welcome change. They also brought by an incredibly vibrant rainbow!

June 8:  It'd done! It's finally done! After a year of sewing, taking apart, sewing again, I've finally finished Hunter's quilt! Now, on to the next one.

June 9:  Today was our first time attending our school's bus race! The principals from 8 of our area schools all hop in a decorated bus and knock each other around with the hope of beating out the next guy. They race at Charlotte Motor Speedway and it's a great time! This will definitely be a new tradition for our family!

June 10:  This.smile. That is all.

June 11:  He's finally getting the hang of the sippy cup thing. Now to start the weaning process...

June 12:  The pool is going to get a lot of use this summer, especially since this year Hunter and I can join in on the fun! The vegetables in the background are trying to show just how hot out it is!

June 13:  We are taking an extra long weekend to go camping! We drove down to a KOA in Anderson, SC and the kids had a blast. It was crazy hot out but they enjoyed swimming in the pool and cooking around the fire!

June 14:  Tyler brought his new squirt guns that he got for his birthday. The kids loved squirting anyone that would let them!

June 15:  We're home from our camping adventure! We left the older two with Grandma and Papa in SC for a few days. Hunter is going to enjoy being an only child for the first time since he was a newborn! Is it just me or is this guy starting to look more like a toddler and less like a baby?

June 16:  My little housekeeper.

June 17:  They're baaaack!! It was a short two days, but the monsters are home!

Phew, I think that's all of them! Whether you are a professional photographer or a mom/dad that just really loves to take pictures, you are welcome to join our link up! We love to gather ideas from each other as well as support and encourage one another to meet their goal. Even if you didn't start at the first of the year, you are welcome to hop on board now!

Week 23 ~ Catch the Moment

My first year in my new school and district has come to an end! This year has been such a blessing to myself and my family. I can't express how much I love where I am at this pint in my career. That being said, it's been a busy week of finishing school projects, cleaning, packing and moving my classroom. I'll catch up with my photos in a few days, but for now here is a picture of the beautiful sunset at our annual principals bus race!

Please join us on our link up! We have a wide range of experience within our link up from professional photographer, to mom's obsessed with their children (that one's me), to iPhone users. All are welcome!

Week 22 ~ Catch the Moment

There are just a few more days until we are on Summer Vacation! I can't believe how fast this school year has gone. I guess it does really make a difference when you love where you are working!

May 28:  This little one is getting too big too fast!

May 29:  Little Miss Attitude. I said smile and this is the response I got from her.

May 30:  Speaking of Miss Attitude, here she is turned around backwards during her t-ball game. She refused to look at the batter.

May 31:  Boys will be boys. Hunter had to help Daddy put together his new grill outside.

June 1:  It was a group effort to put the locks on the cabinets today. Hunter is our first (and last) baby to require these.

June 2:  Another day at the pool. Hunter found the stone around the edge of the pool and was having fun throwing it around.

June 3:  Tyler had his first ever baseball playoff game. They lost, but he had a great time playing!

Week 21 ~ Catch the Moment

Summer break is right around the corner, I can almost smell it!

I had to laugh as I was getting my pictures ready for today's post. Early on in the year most of my pictures revolved around the little guy (and they still do), then they all seemed to be baseball related, and now they are all pool pictures. Forgive me for water overload for the next few weeks. All my kids and husband want to do now is swim!

May 21:  See? Pool pictures! I love his big old toothless grin!

May 22:  And again with the pool, ha! Brandon bought this really cool solar light that floats around the pool. I'm going to have to try to get a good picture of the kids with it at night soon.

May 23:  This. This is how my now 4 year old spends most of her time during her t-ball games. At least she isn't the only one doing it!

May 24:  Look at my little walker! There is no stopping this one now!

May 25:  Daddy has her spoiled. He keeps cutting roses off of my rose bush so she has fresh flowers to smell.

May 26:  The little guy wasn't feeling the greatest this past weekend. After a few days of not being himself I finally brought him in only to find out he had an ear infection. A few doses of antibiotics and he's as good as new!

May 27:  And more pool pictures. Zoe is pretty sure she's a water dog and belongs in there too. It's a good thing the pool is the perfect height for her to climb up and lick our faces while we swim!

Do you enjoy taking pictures? Come join us on our 365 day photo journey! There are photographers of all types in the project including moms with an average camera such as myself as well as professional photographers. We'd love to have you!

11 Months ~ Hunter Allen

I wrote this post a while ago but never had the chance to add in the pictures. Forgive me for stepping back in time by over a month, but I felt it was important to document Hunter's milestones at this age. Hopefully I'll get his 1 year up a little quicker!

Sleep:  Nothing much has changed in the sleep department. You are still waking mommy up every 2 to 3 hours at night to nurse and snuggle a bit. Oh how I miss sleeping through the night!
Likes:  You love to be outside watching your brother and sister play as well as going for walks. The dropsy game is apparently tons of fun as well. You love when your brother and sister chase you around the house and squeal with delight as you try to keep up with them.
Dislikes:  You do not like to hear the word no! You curl you little lip up and begin to pout as soon as you hear it. You have also figured out what the gate for the stairs is and get pretty upset as soon as you see us start to put it up.
Favorite Toys:  Your favorite toy right now is clothing. Anytime there is anything sitting around you are tossing it around, sliding it on the ground, or removing them from the laundry basket. Folding clothes with you on the loose has become rather difficult!
Eating:  You eat nonstop! You still nurse at home every 3 hours or so for a few minutes and take four 3oz. bottles at daycare during the day. You go through about 4 containers of baby food and a bunch of finger snacks throughout the day. Anytime someone gets something, you insist you must eat too!

Milestones:  You took your first unassisted steps this month! Daddy was laying on the ground watching tv and you decided to walk from him to the couch. It was about 3 steps from point A to point B. I'm not sure if I should be cheering, or crying about this one!

Tooth Count:  Still holding out at 2!
Clothing:  You're in 12 month clothes and size 4 diapers.
Words:  Momma, Dada, and Tyler are the words that we can understand right now. I think you're trying to say a few other things, but I can't tell what they are just yet!
Firsts:  You ate your first Popsicle this month! You weren't too thrilled with the idea and tossed it on the ground after a few seconds. You also went to the zoo for the first time! It was a cold day but we still enjoyed watching all of the animals.
Happy 11 months little one!
